How to Auto-Delete Your Location and Search History From Google
Google services is a part of our life in today's tech age. Whatever, you also want to protect your privacy as possible. Google offers all of its services free by selling your data to advertisers but Google also say that data collection is to improve your experience with its services and apps. This is true, it can help you to find any services or any shop easier.
But there was some reports last year over how google was collecting your data - report by the Associated Press. If you turned off location history, google was still collecting your data. So here we showed you how to stop google from tracking your location or search history.
If you are really careful about your privacy than you must do these step and if you not careful about your privacy and tracking then you must be careful about it.
You can go to Google Activity Control Setting and turn of all tracking setting, but this features is helpful in some Google applications, for example Google Maps.
But now google taking step to make it easier for users to control privacy setting. Google has announced new control features that allow you to delete you location history and search history, web activity data automatically.
How to Delete Automatically Google Location and Web Activity Data
You can turn on the auto-delete control feature with using chrome, So
Step 1. Visit Google Account Activity Control
Step 2. Now Tap on Manage Activity Under the Web & Activity.
Step 3. Tap on Auto-Delete Button.
Step 4. Now you can choose the auto delete activity after 3, 18 and 36 months then click next and after this click on confirm button.
For Computer/Laptop :
Step 1. Visit Google Account Activity Control
Step 2. Tap on Auto-Delete Button.
Step 3. Now you can choose the auto delete activity after 3, 18 and 36 months then click next and after this click on confirm button.
Note : while you are there you can change the pause switch to turn off collection entirely And you can view other collected activity like Voice & Audio, YouTube Watch History and Google chrome Search History, and more. And you can still go into each section and manually delete the info too.
I'd like to see google add the feature to auto-delete other activities it collects too. But remember your location and web activity is deleted from the activity center but there is a backup of that data on a google server.
Thank You.
