‘Windows’ is a bunch of many programs. It is an operating system that

1. Using Print Screen Key:
The quickest way to take a screenshot on both windows vista and windows 7 is
by using the ‘Print Screen Key’ on your keyboard. Normally it’s on the
upper right-hand corner of the keyboard. Now to capture an image of
anything on your screen all you have to do is to press this key one
time.
It will place the image in your computer’s clipboard memory. Then you
will be able to place that image into any program. There are some exceptions
where you can not place the images. Those are some photo editing programs,
Microsoft office word programs, etc.
There is a nice one that is built into windows 7 and windows vista called
Paint. It helps to save or edit the taken picture to your system. You just
have to go down on the left side of your screen. There is the
‘Start Menu’ to click on. Then clicking on ‘All programs’ you
will get to see ‘Accessories’. After that, you will find the option
‘Paint’.
Go to paint, past the taken screenshot there. Then edit the picture if
required and click on the ‘File’ option on the upper left-hand side of
the paint’s screen. Go on ‘Save as’ and save the image to anywhere you
want. Now the taken screenshot has been saved permanently in your computer’s
memory.

2. Using Print screen key, Windows & Alt buttons:
To take a screenshot of any image you can follow another method. First, go to
the image that you want to take as the screenshot. When the picture is
on your screen, press the ‘Print screen’ key and the
‘windows’ key at a time.
Now search for the picture in your computer system. Go to the
‘Start Menu’ and then search for it. Click on the
‘Screenshot’ folder. There you can find your screenshot.
Pressing on both the keys of ‘Print Screen’ and ‘Alt’ at a time
can capture a screenshot for you in both of the windows. But only the
mostly-used screen can be captured by this feature, not the entire screen.
In windows vista, there is an inbuilt feature to edit the taken screenshot
except for paint. That is when you open the picture at
‘Windows Photo Gallery’ after saving it, there will be an option
‘Fix’. There you can edit the saved screenshot. This feature is not available in
Windows XP.

3. Using Snipping Tool:
There is an inbuilt tool named ‘Snipping Tool’ in both windows vista
and windows 7 systems. It helps to take screenshots of any photo that appears
on your system’s screen.
First, you have to take the picture of which you want to take the screenshot.
Then Open ‘Snipping Tool’ from the ‘Menu’. Select the
option ‘Mode’ and then select the mode of snipping from the
drop-down list. Then take the image or crop the needed part you want to take
as the screenshot. If you want to edit the screenshot, on the upwards
you will get to see the options.
